Britain Headed for Snap General Election
UK PM says the vote will bring 'certainty and security'.
Britain's prime minister, Theresa May, has spoken to President Trump and European leaders about her decision to hold an early election. Earlier, she said the snap election was the only way to guarantee stability as the country negotiates its withdrawal from the European Union.
US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order aimed at curbing abuses of US work visas and encouraging companies to use American suppliers and local workers. And in Venezuela, the opposition is organising protest rallies to denounce the recent dissolution of the country's parliament.
