John Hartson: Time for Wenger to go
Former Arsenal striker John Hartson says the time has come for manager Arsene Wenger to go after another "inept" away performance.
Arsenal were beaten 3-0 by relegation threatened Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. This was their fourth straight away defeat and leaves them seven points from the Champions League places.
Hartson told 5 live: “When you look at some of the players that are taking the field, they are just not up to it. They are not at the standard and the level of a team capable of winning the Premier league.”
“I think it’s time for him to go and it hurts me to say it. We have conversations - but the performances now - that last night, you would call that an inept performance.”
“There was a lack of leadership, a lack of togetherness, they don’t look like a team.”
