America strikes Syria

The United States has carried out a cruise missile attack on a Syrian airbase in response to Tuesday's suspected gas attack on a rebel-held town that killed dozens.

Ahead of the French presidential elections later this month, Newsday's Julian Keane is in France gauging the political mood in the north eastern town of Strasbourg.
