Rowett: I would consider Birmingham job

Former Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett says he would consider a return to St Andrews if the opportunity arose.

The 42-year-old was sacked in November with the Blues in play-off contention. Replacement Gianfranco Zola has won just two games in his first 15 in charge.

"I certainly would consider it if circumstances were different, because I didn't want to leave in the first place.

"I had an amazing bond with the fans, and we felt we'd made progress." Rowett has not managed a club since his Birmingham City departure.
