The Forestry Commission is finalising plans to release a pair of beavers into a fenced stretch of river just upstream of Lydbrook.
There could be beavers in the Forest of Dean as soon as September. The Forestry Commission is finalising plans to release a pair of beavers into a fenced stretch of river just upstream of Lydbrook.
It would be part of a 3 year trial to see if the beavers can increase biodiversity and potentially alleviate flooding.
