Winter: 'Arsenal are a laughing stock'

The Times' chief footballer writer Henry Winter blasts the Arsenal club hierarchy for "sleepwalking towards the abyss".

Arsenal were beaten 5-1 in Munich by Bayern, all but ensuring a last 16 Champions League exit for the seventh consecutive season, a result which Winter labelled "a chronicle of death foretold".

"Arsenal have been totally embarrassed. They are a laughing stock," he added.
