The 'equel' to His Dark Materials

Philip Pullman has announced the publication of the long-awaited "equel" to His Dark Materials.

The Book of Dust is a work in three parts, with the first volume being published on Thursday 19 October.

The author spoke exclusively to the Today programme about what readers can expect from the next instalment.
