Hundreds of Immigrants Arrested in US
Pro-immigrant advocates say Trump administration is responsible for "surge" of detentions.
Pro-immigrant advocacy groups in the United States say the Trump administration is responsible for a "surge" of detentions of immigrants staying in the US without legal permission, after hundreds of people were arrested last week. President Trump had promised on the campaign trail to deport between two and three million illegal immigrants. Immigration officials said the raids were planned before the new administration took office.
