Here comes Radio 2 with a wassail
Wassail is an old English ceremony that traditionally takes place in West Country orchards each winter, with farmers blessing the forthcoming harvest with a lively ceremony involving cider, singing and toast.
Eager to bless this year's harvest on behalf of Radio 2, Amol invited West Countryman Les Davies into the studio to carry out a special in-studio wassail. We also hear from apple and cider writer Pete Brown, on the importance of apples and orchards in 2017.
