'Pioneer' Heyhoe Flint ruffled feathers to make a difference

Rachael Heyhoe Flint is the reason women's sport is so prominent today, according to Jacqui Oatley.

The former England women's cricket captain, vice-president of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday after a short illness.

And broadcaster Jacqui Oatley described her as a 'pioneer' for women's sport.

"She was just an extraordinary woman - she really was. Had to ruffle feathers to make a difference," Oatley told Kelly Cates on 5 live Sport.

"She was a force for good in so many ways and we're going to miss her so very dearly."
