China has agreed to return a US underwater drone, seized by a Chinese naval vessel in the South China Sea. Beijing earlier told the United States to stop maritime surveillance operations in the seas off China. The Pentagon said the drone was being used to carry out scientific research, while US President-elect Donald Trump accused the Chinese of "stealing".
Also in the programme, thousands of residents and rebels awaiting evacuation from the ruins of eastern Aleppo are preparing to spend a second night outside in the freezing cold. And a major academic conference in London will discuss the ethics of love and sex with robots.
