Trump Names "Mad Dog" as Defence Secretary

US President-elect Donald Trump has named General James Mattis as his defence secretary. Mr Trump has previously described Gen Mattis, 66, as "a true general's general". Gen Mattis, who is known as "Mad Dog", was an outspoken critic of the Obama administration's Middle East policy, particularly on Iran.

When parents of a teenage boy in Utah noticed that a shotgun, handgun and ammunition were missing from their home, they chased after him fearing the worst. He'd already got to his classroom where he had fired a shot into the ceiling. One of the students in that classroom at Mueller Park Junior School in Utah - Aliza - explains what happened and how the boy's parents intervened.

Several former professional football players in the UK have revealed they were sexually abused by their coach, when they were children. However, the sexual abuse of children by their coaches is a global problem and one of the sports particularly affected has been swimming in the United States. We hear from Robert Allard, who's a lawyer in California representing victims of sexual abuse in swimming.
