Kashmir Curfew Continues

The already fraught situation in Indian-controlled Kashmir just got worse over the weekend, with a deadly attack by unidentified militants on an army base in the region. The population of Kashmir continues to struggle under a strict daytime curfew.

The United Nations General Assembly is meeting and will discuss global migration and the refugee crisis. Newsday speaks to UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi.

The governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, has said that a bomb that exploded in New York City on Saturday night was a terrorist act.
