Ed Balls on wife Yvette and the Labour leadership

HARDtalk's Stephen Sackur speaks to former Labour MP Ed Balls, one of the key players of the UK Labour party's era of political dominance under partners and rivals Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.

He is married to Labour MP Yvette Cooper. Both have sought to lead their party and failed. Ed Balls' failed bid was in 2010 and Yvette Cooper failed in 2015 when the current leader Jeremy Corbyn topped the poll.

But should he have stood aside in 2010 to allow Yvette Cooper to run earlier?
