40 years ago this week, the BBC launched the first-ever national rock n roll show, on Radio 1, co-hosted by Stuart Colman and our own Geoff Barker.

40 years ago this week, the BBC launched the first-ever national rock n roll show, on Radio 1, co-hosted by Stuart Colman and our own Geoff Barker. `It`s Rock n Roll ` kick-started the rockabilly revival of the late 70`s and also had live bands in session each week.

On this weeks Rock n Roll Party, Geoff marks the anniversary with an hour of those vintage sessions, featuring; Shakin` Stevens, The Darts, Matchbox, Chas & Dave, The Jets, The Pirates and some of the American guests, including the legendary Carl Perkins and many more. He`ll also be having a chat with Stuart.`It`s Rock n Roll`...40 years later....on the Rock n Roll Party with Geoff Barker this Saturday night.
