Kabul Bomb Blast
Afghan Explosion; Ethiopia Prison Fire; Giant Kangaroos
A third massive explosion has shaken the Afghan capital, Kabul -- just hours after two bombs killed at least twenty four people.
The government of Ethiopia says twenty-three people died when a fire broke out in a jail where political prisoners were being held. It said two people were killed as they tried to escape Qilinto prison, while the others died during a stampede. Local media reported gunfire at the prison on Saturday.
The bones of a new species of kangaroo, believed to be the tallest ever, have been discovered. The animal would have been two and a half metres tall in resting position, around half a metre taller than current male kangaroos.
