Alan Kurdi's father in plea for migrants; 350 year since Fire of London; Vietnam heritage

The father of Alan Kurdi, the three-year-old boy who drowned a year ago as his family fled Syria, has urged Europe to keep its doors open to migrants. Abdullah Kurdi told the BBC he still hoped that world leaders could stop the war in Syria.

In the early hours of September 2nd, three hundred and fifty years ago, a fire broke out in a bakery in Pudding Lane in London. It rapidly spread and ended up destroying much of Medieval London.

For almost a decade the French photographer Réhahn Croquevielle has been living and travelling across Vietnam documenting old traditions and lifestyles that are disappearing fast due to modernity and western influence.
