Earthquake in Central Italy
Italian region of Umbria hit by earthquake; Turkey US relations; Edible batteries.
An earthquake has hit central Italy at around 03:40 in the morning local time. There are reports of damage in Amatrice, near Perugia. The US Vice President, Joe Biden, is due in Turkey at a time of tense relations between the two countries, with perceived lack of solidarity following the attempted coup in Turkey in July. And, edible batteries could be part of our future, helping ingestible electronic devices diagnose or treat diseases.
