The End of the Line.

40 years ago to the day, a coal train from Toton yard in Nottinghamshire to Severn Tunnel Junction came off the rails as it approached Winchcombe, causing considerable damage to the track and infrastructure. The derailment approaching Winchcombe goods shed caused severe damage to the track that the line never reopened.
