Doctors in Aleppo have written to Obama; German security; French health scandal
29 of the last 35 remaining doctors in eastern Aleppo, Syria have written a letter to US President Barack Obama, asking him to establish safe corridors to allow humanitarian aid to besieged districts.
The German Interior Ministry is proposing a raft of new measures including banning the hijab and getting rid of dual citizenship. The proposals come after a series of attacks in July including two claimed by so-called Islamic State.
France's medicine agency ANSM has accused the government of covering up the fact that up to 10,000 pregnant women were prescribed an epilepsy drug despite known links to birth defects.
