Innovating for Africa
It is often said that necessity is the mother of all invention - and in Africa that certainly rings true. A lot of innovative ideas have come from entrepreneurs who saw suffering, scarcity and difficulty in doing day-to-day tasks like fetching water, going to a clinic or sending money to their families.
Nnamdi Oranye - an entrepreneur himself - thought it would be a good idea to document these innovations in a book, so there can be some kind of a "catalogue of ideas". The book is titled "Disrupting Africa - the Rise & Rise of Innovation" and the BBC's Lerato Mbele sat with the author to find out who these innovators are.
