Hillary Clinton has made history by becoming the first woman to receive the presidential nomination for a major US party. Her husband Bill gave a speech backing his 'best friend.'

Pope Francis is attending Catholic Church World Youth day in the Polish city of Krakow. With hundreds of thousands of young pilgrims attending the event security concerns have been raised following the arrest of an Iraqi man on charges of possessing explosives. The Polish government has suspended its participation in European free movement of people and full border controls have been reinstated.
