On average a woman is killed every 37 hours in Argentina. Now, President Mauricio Macri has announced a comprehensive plan to tackle the violence in which education is key.
The Rio Olympics will, for the first time, host a team of refugee Olympic athletes, competing under the Olympic flag.
The charity Human Rights Watch says members of the ruling party of Burundi's youth league have repeatedly raped women. Many of the attacks appear to have been aimed at members of perceived government opponents.
