McDonnell 'only trying to cover his own back'
The Labour MP Tom Blenkinsop has accused the group Momentum of using similar intimidation tactics to those seen in the 1980s.
Whilst an angry meeting of the parliamentary Labour party took place, in which MPs openly asked the leader to stand down, a rally of support for Mr Corbyn was addressed by both the Labour Leader and the Shadow Chancellor.
Blenkinsop told Martha Kearney that John McDonnell was 'only trying to cover his own back' after the shadow chancellor asked supporters not to protest outside Labour MP's offices.
