Clive Cox on an unbelievable two days at Ascot
Lambourn-based trainer Clive Cox is delighted after picking up his second Grade 1 victory in two days, after My Dream Boat won the Prince of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot.
“It’s unbelievable. It’s great to have a winner here but to have two group ones is very special. It’s been a phenomenal week.”
“Adam Kirby’s partner gave birth to their first child yesterday. It’s obviously fuelled him with energy and excitement. He gave the horse an incredibly ride.”
“My Dream Boat got beaten in France last time, we came here and thank goodness we turned it around. The track is different and it’s a different day, that’s the great thing about racing.”
“He’s gone from a 76 handicapper to winning a Group 1 race. It’s just unbelievable, I’m so pleased.”
