Sutton: Brendan Rodgers can give Celtic hope
Former striker Chris Sutton says Brendan Rodgers' appointment as manager is a 'coup for Celtic'.
Rodgers replaces outgoing boss Ronny Deila, who despite winning two Premiership titles came under pressure from supporters after failing to progress in European competition.
"Under Ronny Deila the club had gone backwards...the fact they lost to Molde and Malmo in Europe. Celtic fans are realistic, they don't expect to compete with Bayern Munich and Barcelona, but they can expect to perform competently against Ajax, Molde and Malmo", said Sutton.
