
United States Lifting its Arms Embargo Against Vietnam
President Obama has said he will lift an arms embargo on Vietnam, The Palme d'Or at Cannes has been awarded to Ken Loach; Recruiting a worker for 'the remotest island' on Earth
President Obama has just announced that the United States is lifting its embargo on arms exports to Vietnam. Mr Obama was speaking in Hanoi after meeting Vietnam's communist leadership.
The Cannes Film Festival has awarded the British director, Ken Loach, has won the Palme d'Or for his film 'I, Daniel Blake' - about poverty. As he accepted the award, Mr Loach said austerity was a dangerous project driven by what he called 'neo-liberal ideas'.
