Billionaire businessman Donald Trump is closing in on the Republican party nomination in the American presidential elections in November.

The European Union moves closer to giving Turkish citizens visa-free travel within the Schengen area as part of a deal to solve the refugee crisis.

A double leg amputee has attempted the Marathon des Sables which has been described as the 'toughest foot race on earth' - a six-day journey across the Sahara Desert covering more than 240 km (150 miles).
