US president Obama is to send an additional 250 military personnel to Syria. Analyst and former US diplomat Martin Indyk will give us his assessment of the increase in personnel.

We join the BBC's Anu Anand in South Sudan where millions of people are still living in inadequate shelters, one year after the earthquake that devastated the country.
