1D star grandad: Louis will give Doncaster prize back
Louis Tomlinson's grandad, Len Poulston, says the One Direction star will hand back the prize he won for designing Doncaster Rovers new away shirt after fans questioned the credibility of the online vote. The prize is a holiday to Thailand to see the first shirts being made.
Rovers have insisted the process was "fair and above board". "I can assure you," says Len, "it certainly wasn't [fixed]".
Louis, he says, "was never having the prize himself anyway. He's going to put it back into an auction or whatever, so one of the fans will win".
He added: "We got a pen and paper. We looked at quite a few continental strips, which tend to be a bit more 'flash', in inverted commas, so we thought we'd jazz it up a bit. We sent it in, and won."
