In session

The White Feather Collective are a psych-surf-rock band from Malvern, that formed in 2013.
When they uploaded some of their tracks to Bandcamp, a French mobile phone company picked up on it and it's been used in their television adverts ever since.
They're influenced by artists such as The Doors, The Animals, JJ Cale & Peter Green and their name refers to peace during the First World War.
"A modern-day nod to the surf-rock era, played in fine style" - Andrew Marston

The Funky Bunker

The first tracks have been laid down in a brand new studio in West Malvern.
The Funky Bunker is a state-of-the-art recording and rehearsal space overlooking the Herefordshire countryside.
Nuns Of The Tundra have been there putting together their debut EP this week - we'll hear from them and the man behind these new facilities.

Interviewed: Vo Fletcher

The Malvern musician, Vo Fletcher, is appearing at the The Cube in town tonight with blues group The Rick Sanders Trio.
Vo was one of the very first people to be featured on BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester - but he has a slightly bigger claim to fame...he was the second person to ever appear on Channel 5 and had his own kids' TV show!
He started playing the guitar aged 14 and has spent many years touring with Fairport Convention; a relationship that would lead him to playing in the late George Martin's back garden.

BBC Introducing in Ross-on-Wye

This month's sessions were recorded at The Phoenix Theatre in Ross-on-Wye, which used to be the town's fire station.
The team behind the productions formed nearly 100 years ago at the Corn Exchange, which burned down in 1939.
They then moved to The Roxy Theatre, which closed, and in 1982 moved to their present location at the top of the town.
They extended the facility 20 years later and now host events almost every weekend.
