Daniel Sturridge advised to 'just go and play'
Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson has said that Daniel Sturridge should ‘just get on with it’, even though he's not 100% fit.
Sturridge missed five months of last season with a thigh injury suffered on England duty, as well as receiving treatment for calf and thigh problems.
The Liverpool striker has called out his critics as ‘disrespectful’ for saying he does not want to play for the reds.
5 live summariser Lawrenson, however, explains that professional footballers should be used to playing while not completely fit.
