Reformists Dominate Iran Elections

Iran elections; Zimbabwe drought; Dating app candidate.

Reformists appear to have won all 30 seats representing the Tehran in Iran’s parliament. The election results are being described as a rejection of the hard-liners opposition to President Hassan Rouhani's efforts to open the economy and co-operate with the West.

An estimated three million Zimbabweans are facing hunger due to a severe drought. Close to 20,000 animals have died and the number is expected to rise.

Newsday speaks to the Democrat candidate using Grindr and Tinder to campaign for a seat in the House of Representatives.
