What does end of food grant mean for small schools?
It's almost a year and a half since free school meals were introduced for all four to seven year-olds in England. Smaller schools got some extra help with a "one off grant" which was then extended for a year, but those grants aren't going to be extended any further.
This was the Lib Dems' flagship policy in the Coalition and their former Schools Minister, David Laws, has told BBC Radio 4's The World at One that the evidence used in making that decision should be published.
We hear from Jon Manel who has reported on this story for The World at One since the policy was launched.
