Council to apply to close road over parking

Thorpe St Andrew Town Council could apply to close a road outside a school to prevent parents parking there when dropping off their children.

The road outside Dussindale Primary could be shut after residents raised concerns about safety and access.

The council says the proposed closure is not about vilifying parents, but encouraging them to use agreed parking at a supermarket within five minutes' walk of the school gates, but some parents are not pleased.
