Obama Calls for Military Force Against Islamic State Group

In his final State of the Union Address, president Barack Obama urged the US Congress to formally authorise the use of military force against the Islamic State group.

A powerful bomb in the Pakistani city of Quetta has killed at least 14 people. Most of the victims were security personnel deployed near a polio clinic.
