Princess Cristina of Spain Faces Tax Trial

Spanish Princess trial; Delivering food to Madaya; Golden Globes awards.

In Spain, the trial is to open of Princess Cristina on charges of tax fraud. Cristina is the first member of the Spanish royal family to go on trial since the monarchy was restored in 1975. The case centres on the business activities of her husband, Inaki Urdangarin.

The United Nations says an aid convoy carrying a month's supply of food - as well as medicine and winter clothing - will set off for the besieged Syrian town of Madaya on Monday. Forty-thousand people are trapped there by a government blockade and have received no food since October.

The Revenant was the big winner at the Golden Globes awards - the film won best drama, best director and its lead, Leonardo di Caprio, best actor.
