Canada Receives its First Syrian Refugees

The first military plane carrying Syrian refugees to be resettled in Canada has landed in the city of Toronto. The 163 people were welcomed at the airport by the Prime Minster, Justin Trudeau. He described it as a wonderful night.
The French hosts of the climate change talks who had hoped that a historic deal would be reached today now say they expect a final text to be agreed on Saturday. A BBC correspondent says differences remain on key issues, such as compensation for poorer nations.
A touching Christmas letter written around 60 years ago at a house near London is to be reunited with its owner later on Friday.
