Nigeria To Rehabilitate Civilians Displaced By Conflict

Nigeria conflict; Thailand's sentences; Japan Defence

A court in Thailand has sentenced two Burmese migrant workers to death for the murder of two British tourists on the holiday island of Koh Tao in September last year.

The Japanese cabinet has approved plans to spend more than 42 billion dollars on defence in the tax year beginning next April -- a record amount. American surveillance drones and F-35 fighter jets are on the shopping list. The plan will need parliamentary approval.
