Talks continue to try to find a deal at the climate change conference in Paris. Many of the nations most vulnerable to climate change want to limit warming to no more than 1.5 degrees Celsius over pre-Industrial Revolution levels.The President of the island nation of Kiribati, Anote Tong, has told Newsday that he wants a legally binding agreement to conclude the talks.
The Afghan government says its forces have killed the last of a group of Taliban fighters who attacked Kandahar airport. Fifty people died in more than twenty-four hours of fighting, most of them were civilians.
