Scientists have announced that a surrogate dog has given birth to the world's first test tube puppies. The seven dogs were born in July after the sperm and eggs of Beagle, Labrador and Cocker Spaniel dogs were fertilised in-vitro and transferred into a host mother.
The International Committee of the Red Cross is due to decide, on Thursday, whether to change the way the Geneva Conventions are overseen. The Conventions set out how civilians, prisoners and the wounded should be treated during war.
A study in Canada has found that when elderly people feel negative about ageing it can lead them to have poorer cognitive function and hearing as they lose confidence in their abilities.
