Delhi Juvenile Gang Rapist Freed Amid Protests
Indian justice; Burundi peace; Taliban offensive
The juvenile convict in the notorious 2012 Delhi gang rape case has been freed from a correctional centre, after legal challenges to his release failed.
Burundi has rejected plans by the African Union to deploy peacekeepers in the country, saying that such a move would be considered an invasion.
The centre of another district in the southern Afghan province of Helmand has fallen to the Taliban. The deputy governor of Helmand has complained of a lack of government support in an open letter on Facebook.
