Parish: ‘The gap is closing’ in Premier League
Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish says the gap between top clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal and smaller teams like Leicester and his own club “is closing in".
Parish told the Today programme’s Garry Richardson that new restrictions on squad size and spending mean there are plenty of good players the smaller clubs can buy.
"It’s make for an ever more exciting league,” he said.
He also discussed the new American investors who have purchased an 18% stake in the club.
“They’re the best people to move the club forward and it seems like a good partnership. When you come from overseas it’s difficult to get to grips with a football club, so hopefully we can avoid some of the pitfalls.”
