Newsday's Nkem Ifejika is reporting live from Burundi which descended into violence earlier this year after President Pierre Nkurunziza launched a bid to prolong his term in office. In July 2015, he won the presidential election. But UN observers said the poll was neither credible nor free.
On the eve of a vote in parliament, the British prime minister David Cameron has called on his MPs to support plans for air strikes against the Islamic State group in Syria. But he's sparked controversy by calling opponents of the move "a bunch of terrorist sympathisers".
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has said that he and his wife Priscilla are to give 99% of their money to charity.
