Why Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski is going nowhere
Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski may be a top transfer target for Europe’s biggest teams, but he is unlikely to leave Germany any time soon.
The Poland international, 27, has already scored 26 goals for club and country this season, but football journalist Andy Brassell believes there is no chance of Lewandowski leaving Bayern.
“He was someone who had the opportunity to go where he wanted,” he told the BBC’s Kelly Cates.
“He stayed in Germany because his family wanted to stay in Germany.
“He turned down a humongous offer from Real Madrid before he joined Bayern, nothing’s changed for him.”
