Livingstone should resign - Labour MP
Labour MP Mike Gapes has called for Ken Livingstone to resign as leader of the party’s Trident review.
Mike Gapes said the ex-London mayor should “gracefully withdraw” for his comments about shadow defence minister Kevan Jones
Mr Livingstone has "unreservedly" apologised for saying the MP - who has suffered with depression - needed "psychiatric help".
Asked by Jo Coburn whether Mr Livingstone should be fired if he does not stand down, Mr Gapes said that was a matter for whoever appointed him.
