Bath coach '100% sure' Sam Burgess will stay in rugby union
Reports have suggested that England centre Sam Burgess is on the verge of quitting rugby union and has been given time off by Bath to consider a return to rugby league.
Sources in Australia suggest he is set to go back to former NRL club the South Sydney Rabbitohs less than a year after switching codes.
But speaking on the Today programme, Bath coach Mike Ford said there were “no dramas” over Burgess, that he expected him to return to training in November, and that he was 100% sure Burgess would return to Bath.
“This is the time now when Sam becomes a better rugby union player,” he told sports presenter Garry Richardson.
