Nigel Mansell: Hamilton will ‘surpass’ Senna
Former Formula 1 world champion Nigel Mansell believes Lewis Hamilton can match Michael Schumacher’s record seven world championship titles.
Speaking on the Today programme Mr Mansell says Hamilton, who won his third championship by winning the United States grand prix, will “just get better and better” and is “hot favourite” for next year.
On comparisons with Aytron Senna Mansell added: “In the years to come he certainly will be [as good] and he’ll surpass him.”
“I would have seven times world champion Michael Schumacher’s record in my sights now.”
