China cuts interest rates amid market turmoil

China cuts its main interest rate to boost growth in its economy, after two days of stock market turmoil. Fire fighters in the United States are battling some of the worst wildfires in Washington state. The first images are posted online of the destruction of an ancient temple in Palmyra by Islamic State militants. And, tributes are paid to British IndyCar driver Justin Wilson who died after being struck by flying debris.
