Leading Mexican Activist Killed

A Mexican community activist who had been helping to investigate the fate of hundreds of missing people in a region plagued by gang violence, has been found dead; The Spanish resort of Magaluf, long associated with British holidaymakers, is to be patrolled by uniformed British police; Several hundred people have paused in silence in the US town of Ferguson on the first anniversary of the killing of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown.
